LEON – Learning Environments Online

In the Learning Environments Online (LEON) project, CeDiS is playing a major role in the “SUPPORT – Quality Pact for Teaching” initiative of Freie Universität Berlin. The project is receiving funding as part of the “Quality Pact for Teaching” (Qualitätspakt Lehre) program of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), which is jointly supported by the German federal and state governments and aims to improve study conditions as well as ensuring and further developing high-quality university instruction.

Teaching activities at Freie Universität Berlin today are already being supported in a variety of ways through the use of modern technologies and media. With funding from the BMBF, the Learning Environments Online (LEON) project develops and expands digital teaching and learning environments, further develops learner-centered teaching and learning concepts, and supports learner-guided learning activities.
